Back in 1945, The important capital city under Japanese colonial government, Taipei, was once suffered from series of air raids from US army. Except for the shelter built up by Japanese government, people in Taipei city often hide in the basement of the building, as an emergency shelter. Thus, we apply Taihoku Air Raid in 1945 as story background, trying to start a time-travel conversation through air raid shelter, with people who has gone in attacks, and with people who still remain till today…

We applied AR techniques as the major framework, then connected the space, the performance, the performers, and the audience. Through the Magic Leap One AR device, the audience are invited to view, roam and interact with the actress in the room autonomously, creating a specific theater watching experience with virtual images and solid space combined. Along with elder people’s oral stories and family histories, this work takes the audience back to the moment of the US Army Air Raid.
