「水墨藝術」與「詩作書法」皆為中國傳統悠久的歷史傳統,然而,藝術的轉型需要能量,而「科技」產業在此可以說是為藝術提供了一個新的方向。此次以藝術家黃光男的作品作為創作之發想,並藉由新媒體藝術作一呈現與轉化,呈現方式共分為二大主軸,一、當代水墨和文學;二、數位水墨與錄像,並結合上國立臺灣師範大學、國立台北科技大學、國立台灣藝術大學三校相關科系的專業挹注,更讓水墨影像得以創新,開發出更能帶給現代觀眾震撼與感動的視覺感受,藉以擴大水墨藝術和科技產業的專業知識轉化,使其成為相互激盪而成之兼具傳統與創新之展覽形態。
政府部門近年來對於文化創意產業的重視,美感教育、藝術涵養與人文價值的重要性開始在台灣引起話題與迴響,隨著文化經濟、美學經濟與美力時代的來臨,代表新的獲利契機。以人文的角度來看,台灣的社會形成類似布拉格的氛圍,藝術與音樂捶手可得。回頭反思,水墨藝術堪稱是華人文化藝術精髓,理應在這股文化與產業、藝術與科技、美學與創新的時代潮流中為大眾生活投注心力,我們藉由展覽與相關推廣活動,使水墨藝術與科技結合的新格局得以介紹與社會大眾。而黃光男校長的水墨藝術與詩作書法皆具有想像力,具備了豐富的人文內涵,可讓科技產品不單單只是滿足現代人的物質需求,更能進一步的滿足精神需求。透過結合當代科技的技術與產品,讓「水墨藝術」的東方氣質與媒材韻味,轉化為數位影像,為科技產業的提升帶來新的契機。此次展出藉由臺北數位藝術中心的專業呈現,讓傳統與現代的藝術語彙進行對話,創造一個屬於現代、過去和未來的對話場域,同時建立起台北市領航新媒體藝術的地位!

Ink painting art and poetry calligraphy are both of long history Chinese tradition. However, the development and transformation of art require drive; and technology to a turn provides a new aspect for art creation. The creation and exhibition were inspired by the works of artist Kuang-Nan Huang (currently President of the National Taiwan University of Arts).
This exhibition is composed of two main themes: 1. contemporary ink painting and literature; 2. digital ink painting and video imagery. With the contributions of National Taiwan Normal University, National Taipei University of Technology and National Taiwan University of Arts, innovation of ink imagery art and a feast of art creation for the audience were made possible. Moreover, ink painting art chimes with technology expertise into a harmonious exhibition of tradition and innovation.
In recent year, the government has put much emphasis on the cultural creative industry. Aesthetics and art education, as well as culture values gradually gained much attention. The era of culture economy, aesthetic economy and empowerment of aesthetics brings new opportunity. With the culture heritage, Taiwan has advantages in creating artistic and musical atmosphere like that of Prague form the cultural point of view. In retrospect, ink painting can be considered the essence of Chinese art. It is indispensable that more efforts be put into culture creative industry. It is our hope to introduce to the public, through this exhibition and related activities, the new aspect of art by wedding ink painting with technology.
The ink painting and calligraphy of President Kuang-Nan Huang both are full of imagination and depth. Technology products not only can meet the material needs of modern people, it also can enrich our lives when applied in artistic creation. The characteristics of oriental spirit and charm in the form of digital images bring in new life to technology industry. The Digital Art Center Taipei presents this time, an artistic dialogue between traditional arts with modern technology. By hosting this exhibition, Taipei city demonstrate its determination in leading the creation of artistic creation media.

「圓仔花不知醜,大紅花醜不知」,把它當成沒有自知之明的代表,看不起這種花。但圓仔花雖醜,不過它卻開了滿山滿野,十分具有勇氣不是嗎?「不知醜」反而是有自信的表現,特別強調原先別人看不起的特質,充滿自我肯定、顛覆污名認同。因此,我們企圖以圓仔花所代表的草根性,顛覆新媒體藝術在大眾心中的認知。除了利用CAMARA偵測觀者的動作撥放動畫外,更配合這幅畫的題詞「圓仔花如燈」在畫中加入了不可見光LED燈,更配合這幅畫的題詞「圓仔花如燈」在畫中加入了不可見光LED燈,達到畫中有畫、虛;藉由觀者和畫產生互動連結,給觀者一個充滿樂趣的賞畫經驗!
“Plain look, fancy red Globe Amaranth has little appeal,” Amaranth is often referred to lacking of self-awareness. Unloved though, the flowers spread over hills and fields, courageous to some extent. Somehow, unconscious of one’s outlook reveal the self-confidence in accepting and recognizing what others disdain.
Thus, we take the grass-roots characteristics of Globe Amaranth and applied with new exhibition technique, as a challenge against common notion. In addition to using Camera to observe the audience for adjusting the display, light in-penetrative LED lamp is also incorporated in the piece entitled “Globe Amaranth as a lantern.” To view this work, it creates an impression of painting within painting, illusion and reality in one. The interaction of the audience and the work provides an interesting experience of perception.

「萬物靜觀皆自得,四時佳興與人同」,人們對於自然界一景一物的細微觀察,皆可紀錄並分享生活中的點滴感懷 。 「花影」是黃光男校長2004年的創作,我們以此畫作做為創作素材,期望透過新媒體藝術的重新演繹,展現自然景物中微風吹拂,朵朵花兒隨風搖曳的景象,傳達給觀者身歷其境的賞畫經驗。欣賞畫作時,觀者對實體花朵吹氣的動作可使畫作花朵盛開舞動,隨著吹氣時數越長,花朵將會全數盛開,直至畫作完整呈現。
Contemplate the nature has its own pleasure, the delight are with all men who enjoy four seasons. Observation of nature in details can be recorded and shared in life.
Based on the work entitled “Flower Shadow” (2004) by President Huang, we intended to employ different approach to give a new interpretation of the original piece. Instead of a still painting, the audience will find themselves feeling the breezing and watching flowers blooming before their eyes. By blowing air to tangible flowers before the work, flowers will be displayed on the screen as long as the air continues to flow till flowers in full bloom.

將畫面中主要的構成元素—柳枝,以動態的方式呈現,配合畫中的鳥兒,完整傳達「春意」一作畫中的意境,藉由互動,與觀眾做進一步的接觸,更能加深其對作品的認識。
The main component in this work—willow twigs are presented in motion, along with the birds in the painting, to create a scene in spring. The interaction will enhance and allow a better understanding of this work.

以互動的方式展現下雨過後,清風徐來,松枝搖曳,樹葉輕輕飄落的景象,地上的落葉也隨之舞動。使觀者如畫中休憩的鳥兒,置身於被雨滋潤的大地之中,體會「雨後」的清新美感。
With the interactive device, the audience will find themselves in the setting: cool breeze, swaying pine sprays, fallen leaves drifting to the ground. Beholding the birds in the work, perched in the nature just sprinkled by drizzles, the audience will have a feeling of refreshed.

作品說明
以水墨原作《暗香白玉》(2005)為基底,《紅牆照玉白》運用錄像動畫技術轉化為新媒體藝術之影音表現。畫面隨著季節的移轉,緩緩引導觀者視線至紅牆旁的窗口,乃至窗外隨風搖曳的蠟梅枝頭,分別以嫩綠吐芽、雨露滋潤、嬌羞含苞、寒冬綻放等不同階段的時序景象,襯托出「飛禽矜逸態,梅影照玉白」的詩意。
筆法應物而生,窗外梅枝以遒勁帶有頓挫的線條,勾勒一股上揚的生命力。此作的構圖,除了展現簡潔筆法的墨色之外,特別是在切割畫面的空間裡,也透露出不同的節氣變化,如微微春風、漫漫夏雨、秋節涼意抑或靜逸冬雪的物象,最後回到畫幅中秀雅的題字落款,象徵皎潔白玉般的文人意象。
作品利用平順的運鏡方式,被描繪物象的形狀與筆墨質感,在紅與黑色調之間,製造動態視覺及音效聽覺的相互平衡。融合了現代水墨與當代科技的影音創作,整體氛圍左右緩和地伸展,透露出靜中取動、動中求靜的優雅步調,也在安逸的紅牆墨韻中增添了幾分神采。(文/陳永賢)
Based on the original ink painting Discreet Fragrance and White Jade (2005), Reflection on the Red Wall is an audio-visual application of new media art. The perception of the audience will be guided toward the window beside the red wall as the season turns from winter-sweet, green sprout, rain shower, and tiny flower bud to full blossom in bitter winter—the depiction of poetic aura “birds perched in calm, plum blossom at its best.”
Strokes of brushes vary. Slightly bent lines for plum branches, shows the uprising power of life. Simply by using the strokes to create nuance of ink, division of the structure is particularly designed to uncover the pattern of seasons: spring breeze, summer shower, autumn rustle, and winter snow. The elegant inscription echoes the artistic implication of pure white jade.
Lenses’ moving smoothly in red the black color nuance creates the balanced vision and sound effect. The atmosphere of serenity was gradually extended thanks to the skillful combination of modern ink painting and contemporary technology. In the elegant pace of display, the audience will enjoy images in tranquility, and attached to the work, charm and liveliness through the contrast of dark ink and red wall.

台灣藝術大學多媒體動畫藝術學系的學生們在張維忠老師的帶領下,讓黃校長的水墨作品從平面的紙上飛進聲光俱佳的生動動畫中;靈巧又流暢的動畫技術綜合水墨美學,讓這部短篇動畫曾在德國文化中心伴隨黃校長29件作品一起展出。
Under the guidance of Professor W. Chang, students from the Department of Multimedia and Animation Art, National Taiwan University of Arts have transformed traditional ink painting of President Huang into lively and fluid animated performance with sound the visual effects. The creative short animation featured dexterous combination of animation techniques and ink painting highlighted the twenty-nine works of President Huang at the German Culture Center exhibition.
