喬曾是充滿想像力的快樂女孩，但長大後，她卻發現自己再也快樂不起來了。她的影子察覺悲傷，卻無能為力，直到你們從日記闖入她的內心世界。透過小精靈的協助，你們將與她的影子一同踏上旅程，追尋窗外的快樂蝴蝶。在這場互動冒險中，觀眾將陪伴喬面對恐懼，找回她遺忘的純真與快樂。

《快樂的陰影》是藝術家林佩瑩結合光影劇場與多人互動虛擬實境（VR）體驗的全新作品，延續創作者長期關注的女性議題與XR特有的觸覺性。作品利用VR的包覆性以及視覺提示，影響觀眾的觀看方式，並透過簡易的幾何連接頭與雙手連動，進而改變觀眾的身體慣性，引導觀眾進入另一種身體感知狀態。

Joey believed happiness was lost forever—until you stumbled into her world through a diary while chasing butterflies. With Dusty, the dust spirit, you team up with Joey’s Shadow, using your own shadow to solve puzzles and face her deepest fears. Happy Shadow is an interactive journey through confusion, wonder, and healing.

A new VR project by Pei-Ying Lin, Happy Shadow brings together lights and shadows of theater with a setting that allows multi-user interaction. Continuing the artist’s studying of female issues and the tactile affordance in extended reality (XR), the project features VR immersive experience and visual cues to alter viewers’ way of perception. With simple geometric devices and hand-based interactions, Happy Shadow subtly changes the viewer’s intuitive body movements, guiding them into physical perception of a new kind.

➽關於藝術家

林佩瑩，1991年生，影像工作者、剪接師，有時跳舞，創作方向為捕捉下女性在身體與心理中經歷的震盪、混亂與流動，長期投入劇場的宣傳片拍攝和舞蹈影像。自2020年投入VR製作，《唇》是她的首部 VR 作品，邀請觀眾走入情慾地景觸碰釋放慾望，提案於2020年榮獲「高雄 VR FILM LAB」工作坊百萬首獎，於2021年於高雄電影原創放映，並入選美國 SXSW 西南偏南影展。《快樂的陰影》是她第二部VR作品，於2025年入選威尼斯學院沉浸式單元(Venice Immersive Biennale College Cinema Immersive section)和高雄電影節競賽項目。

➽About the Artist

Born in 1991, Pei-Ying Lin works on video production, editing, sometimes dancing. Her work centers on capturing the tremors, chaos, and fluidity experienced by women both physically and mentally, with a long-term focus on producing promotional videos for theaters and those with dance-based elements. As Lin ventured into VR production in 2020, LIPs, her debut VR project, welcomed viewers into a sexual landscape to explore and awaken their desires. The pitch of LIPs was selected for the One Million Grand Prize awarded at 2020 Kaohsiung VR FILM LAB Talent Workshop and premiered at the Kaohsiung Film Festival in 2021. It was also selected for the SXSW (South by Southwest) XR Experience Spotlight. As her second VR project, Happy Shadow is listed for the Venice Immersive section by the 2025 Biennale College Cinema, as well as for competition at the Kaohsiung Film Festival.
