林欣楷 LIN, Hsin-Kai
林欣楷，1985年生於新竹。目前就讀於台北藝術大學，新媒體藝術研究所。致力於將思想影像化，同時探討媒材的特質。早期創作方向以互動多媒體為主，因此重視觀者的回饋。認為美學與電影語言是當代錄像不可或缺的重要因素，試圖為自己的作品取得曖昧多向的方位。

➽ About the Artist
Lin, Hsin-Kai was born in 1985, HsinChu. He’s currently studying in the MFA program in New Media Art at Taipei National University of the Arts. He dedicated to the visualization of thinking and exploration of different material. His previous works were focused on interactive multimedia, thus he devoted great importance to the feedback of the audience. He considers the aesthetics and film language as both important roles of contemporary videos and he tries to obtain ambiguous multi-directional orientation for his works.

You look at me and I look at myself.
I’m a spectator, a runner and a surface.
I’m humor, melancholy and insane.
I lingered in the consciousness.

因為十年的不良習慣，我的氣管在夜間總是敏感，氣管內的分泌物泉湧而出。我將其咳於衛生紙上，再視為解剖的將衛生紙打開，我沒有看見任何汙穢，只有十年拓印於我的註解。
Due to 10 years of bad habits, my trachea always gets sensitive at night and flows out of the secretions which I cough up onto the tissue. I opened the tissue and I didn’t see any nastiness but the decade’s comments to me.

我的肉身即是界線，分隔現世與異境。我們站在相同的距離，窺看。當我們一起穿越，並再一次看見自己，面對面，那個陌生的、被包覆在自己裡面的、或圍繞自己的虛幻的真實。
My body is the border between the life and the wonderland. We are standing and peeping at the same distance. When we go through together, and see ourselves once again face-to-face and the strange, illusory reality wrapping around us.

溫柔的切割 Cut Me Tenderly

肉體是疾病的容器，
愛與苦本是共同體
惡夢是通往清醒的捷徑，
而清醒本身即是地獄。
擠身於清醒與夢境之間時,時間的概念嚴重地被模糊。精神衰敗的原因來自於凝結的情感。對於家庭生活的想念，喪失訴說的方法。僅此影像亦不足表達。
The body is a container of disease,
Love and pain are inseparable.
Nightmare is the shortcut to being awake, while sober is hell.
Struggle between the sobriety and the dream,
then the concept of time become blurry.
The decline of the spirit is caused by the condensation of emotion.
Miss the family life, but lose the way to tell. The only image is still inadequate to expression.
